Forecast Discussion

Wednesday, April 24, 2024 | Updated 4:00 PM

High pressure will settle directly overhead on Thursday and more or less remain there through Saturday.   This will spell very sunny days, high in the 60s, variable winds, and GOOD air quality Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  There appear no favorable flows for ozone transport, so ozone should be GOOD.   The high pressure will limit mixing heights with fine particles creeping to near MODERATE during chilly late night, early morning hours.   PM 2.5 will also creep up a bit Thursday and Friday in urban areas, but not expected to reach MODERATE.
