About Agriculture & Forest Environment

The health and vitality of our lands, waters, and communities support our way of life and economy in Rhode Island. The Rhode Island Division of Agriculture and Forest Environment works to sustain, promote, and enhance Rhode Island's agricultural viability and preserve, manage, and promote healthy forests and community trees for today and for generations to come.

Update on Arcadia Management Area Bridge Closure

The Frosty Hollow Bridge at Breakheart Brook has re-opened to vehicular traffic. The bridge, which was closed due to storm damage in January, has undergone repair work to the erosion area and passed safety inspections. DEM is grateful for the partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation on this work and appreciates the public’s patience during the closure.
