Air Pollution
This program investigates complaints from the public and referrals from DEM divisions and offices relating to visible emissions, odors, fugitive dust, and exterior lead paint removal and performs compliance monitoring of exterior lead paint removal activities and businesses/facilities with a history of noncompliance.

Report an Industrial Odor Complaint
Use this form to report complaints of odors from industrial facilities, landfills, wastewater treatment plants, or environmental cleanup sites. Complaints are used by DEM to investigate potential air pollution violations and to monitor air quality trends.
Report Other Environmental Complaints: For complaints other than industrial odors, please submit suspected violations of environmental law or regulations by emailing DEM.Compliance2@dem.ri.gov.
