Metacomet Redevelopment Project

A public meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2026, at 6:00pm, to be located at the East Providence City Hall in Council Chambers (145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence). 

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the environmental investigations, findings, and proposed remedy associated with the Metacomet Redevelopment Project. The record for the meeting shall be open after the meeting for receipt of public comments until May 26, 2026. All public comments must be made in writing and can be submitted to the Department by email to Hannah Mitchell at hannah.mitchell@dem.ri.gov or mailed to or dropped off at DEM Headquarters, Attn: Hannah Mitchell, 235 Promenade Street, Providence, RI 02908. All comments must be received by the Department by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
