In-Person Testing
Testing is only available to those students who have completed Rhode Island’s online hunter or online bowhunter education course within the past year. You must print and present your Certificate of Completion from the online course and a picture ID in order to take the in-person exam.
For All Students: There is no additional charge for the in-person exam. Please note that there will be questions on the in-person exam dealing with RI specific laws and regulations that were not covered in the on-line course. In order to prepare for the in-person exam please review the RI Hunting and Trapping Abstract. Specifically, you should focus on topics such as safety requirements, prohibited activities, and equipment rules. There is no need to memorize season dates and bag limits as you can always refer to the abstract during the seasons for this information. Please note that regulations must be checked on a yearly basis as changes occur.
