Seafood Business Development Opportunity in Tiverton (RFP25005465)

A gray two story building surrounded by the Sakonnet River with the bridge overhead

The Rhode Island Department of Administration’s Division of Purchases, on behalf of DEM, is pleased to announce a unique and exciting opportunity to support and grow Rhode Island’s commercial fishing industry.

We are currently seeking proposals for the lease, use, and management of a waterfront property located at 169 Riverside Drive, Tiverton, RI — a prime parcel situated directly on the Sakonnet River. The property, formerly known as "Chase Marina," consists of a two-story, industrial/commercial building, onsite parking, utilities, and direct water access.

This is a rare chance to establish a thriving seafood-focused enterprise at a strategically located state-owned facility, with direct connections to Rhode Island’s commercial fishing fleet. The ideal tenant is committed to supporting the long-term economic viability and expansion of the state's commercial seafood industry. Please note that uses such as parking facilities, recreational boating, private marina operations, or unrelated storage businesses will not be considered.

Interested parties are encouraged to submit proposals by May 16 in accordance with the RFP specifications.

All proposals should be sent via the Ocean State ProcuresTM (OSP)  Bid Board, which contains the latest information and full details for this opportunity, along with all solicitations and award documents. Please see the Vendor Training Center for training resources and guides for using the system.
