Upland Unit

The Upland Unit is comprised of eight districts. The Upland unit is lead by a Lieutenant and two Sergeants. Upland officers are assigned to a district and are responsible for enforcing laws pertaining to hunting, freshwater fishing, boating safety, forestry, littering, and pollution. They conduct park and management area patrols, handle wild animal complaints, and respond to land based search and rescues. They patrol by vehicle, boat, snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle, and foot. Upland officers teach at hunter safety courses as well as, go to schools, scout meetings, fairs, and events to educate the public on environmental conservation.
