Report a Suspected Trout Fishing Violation

This form is to report a suspected violation of fishing in Rhode Island's designated trout waters during the closed season. 

Reporting active violations to DEM’s Division of Law Enforcement (DLE) allows the most immediate response. Do not use this form to report an emergency. Call 911 if the activity you are reporting requires immediate police, fire, or medical response!

Per Fishing Regulations for the Season (250-RICR-60-00-10), all designated trout waters (§ 10.6.1(A)(16) of this Part) shall be closed to all fishing from the last day of February at midnight and shall commence at 6:00 AM on the second (2nd) Saturday in April annually, unless otherwise designated.
