The bio-infiltration trenches at the North Kingstown Lowe’s collect and treat stormwater runoff from the parking lot. The gaps in the curbs allow water to flow into the trenches where pollutants are removed via plant uptake and infiltration. The design also adds a pleasing aesthetic to the parking lot, while providing necessary stormwater management.
