The LEED certified building is home to Moran Shipping Associates, Inc. and incorporates many sustainable design strategies as a means of meeting LEED standards while also complying with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Preservation. It is heated and cooled by 1,500 ft geothermal wells that supply a constant source of groundwater that will heat and cool the building and then be recycled back into the ground. The site also captures and treats stormwater runoff from the small parking lot with adjacent bioswales.
