OWR Online Permit Application Update

DEM has launched the first phase of a new online permit application portal for the Office of Water Resources (OWR) Groundwater and Freshwater Protection Programs. Applicants can now manage applications for Freshwater Wetlands, RIPDES Construction General Permit, Water Quality Certification, and Underground Injection Control Programs using this system at: https://dem.ri.gov/owr-portal-login

Phase Two Launch: Tuesday, May 20

No Septic/OWTS applications accepted or permits issued from Friday, May 2 - Monday, May 19. Some exceptions will apply. Completed applications submitted before May 1 at 4 PM will be moved to the new system. Incomplete and new applications must be submitted online starting May 20. 500.01 Staff - The Review Board shall cause to be employed a Review Board Executive Director, who shall be responsible for the administrative operations of the Review Board. The Review Board Executive Director shall devote such time to the duties of his or her office as may be required and as shall be prescribed by the Review Board. The Review Board may also cause to be employed such staff or technical and professional consultants as may be required to undertake the powers and duties of the Review Board as set forth at Chapter 12.9 of Title 46 of the Rhode Island General Laws.
