Making your application
When making your online application:
- Paper applications are not accepted - applications must be submitted through the Programs Recognition Portal.
- If you are a returning applicant, be sure to have your sign-in information.
- if you do not have the information you can contact technical support for assistance
- Any questions about the website, technical issues with your application, or the application process itself, must be directed to Arbor Day.

Arbor Day Recognition Programs
Tree City USA
All new and recertifying communities must apply online using the Program Recognition Portal. If you start an application and do not complete and submit it, it will not be reviewed.

Tree City USA Growth Award
All Growth Award applications must be completed online using the Program Recognition Portal. This is an optional application for recognition of extra effort by your community. If you start an application and do not complete and submit it, it will not be reviewed.
Additional documentation is necessary to show that the activities did take place are required. Appropriate documentation for each activity is described on ADF’s Growth Award Eligibility and Application Procedures. This is a very detailed document but it is developed to recognize the many different efforts that go above and beyond the TCUSA recognition.

Tree Campus USA
All new and recertifying campuses must apply online using the Program Recognition Portal. If you start an application and do not complete and submit it, it will not be reviewed.
