Meet #TeamDEM and RIDOH at the Washington County Fair August 16-20

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) are inviting the public to stop by their booths at the 57th annual Washington County Fair, August 16-20. It's a chance to meet agency staff and learn about DEM and RIDOH priorities and initiatives. Staff from DEM's Division of Agriculture & Forest Environment (DAFE) and Division of Fish & Wildlife (DFW), along with staff from RIDOH, will offer educational materials on a range of topics and host fun family-friendly activities each day of the fair, including meeting special guest Smokey Bear. The DEM and RIDOH booths will be open from 10 AM – 7 PM each day.



The Washington County Fair is Rhode Island's largest agricultural event. It showcases Rhode Island farmers and agricultural successes and offers carnival rides, live music, and over 130 food and craft vendors. Admission is $11.00 for adults and includes all fair activities besides carnival rides. Admission is free for children 10 years of age and under. Admission includes access to all daily concerts, special acts and events, all agricultural events and shows, exhibits and displays, contests, tractor and horse pulls, and the farm museum.
