EPA Assessment, Cleanup, Multipurpose, and Revolving Loan Fund Grants
- EPA's Brownfield Program provides direct funding for brownfields assessment, cleanup, revolving loans, environmental job training, technical assistance, training, and research
- In March 2018, Congress passed the Brownfields Utilization, Investment, and Local Development Act (BUILD Act), which makes it simpler for local or state governments to take control of a contaminated site
State
Targeted Brownfields Assessment (TBA) Program
- This Program is open to local, state, or tribal governments and non-profit organizations
- Designed to help communities reduce the uncertainties surrounding actual or perceived contamination associated with properties in their neighborhoods
- Funds Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Remedial Planning reports
- Funding is available year-round, but is limited

Brownfields Remediation and Economic Development Fund
- Any party which legally controls (owns) a brownfield site is eligible to apply
- The "Brownfields Bond" fund provides funding assistance for remedial investigation, redevelopment, remedial design, construction of remedies, and other associated work

Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank - Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund
- Eligible to public, private, and non-profit entities
- Provides a low interest loan to conduct remediation of properties contaminated with hazardous substances
