Woonasquatucket River Clean Up: Adams Lane Earth Da
Join Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) and the North Providence Land Trust at 7 Adams Lane, North Providence, RI 02911. This important and beautiful piece of conserved land with an existing trail and public access to the Woonasquatucket River will eventually become Westcott Park - named after former North Providence Town Planner, Dave Westcott, who was the driving force to have the land conserved. As plans are finalized for the park - which will include extending the trail to create a walking loop and adding a canoe launch - we need your help to keep up the maintenance of the site!
Each year, over 1,500 volunteers join the River Rangers to clean, beautify and restore the Woonasquatucket River Greenway. They work hard to make the Greenway a special place to play and experience nature. We begin each season with Earth Month events in April, followed by ongoing opportunities throughout the year when friends and neighbors join us in service. Thanks to the dedication and work of so many, the Greenway continues to be a true catalyst for change and revitalization in Rhode Island.
