Turner Reservoir and Central Pond Management Plan Community Meeting
RIDEM is working to help develop a written lake management plan for Turner Reservoir and Central Pond in East Providence.

Local watershed stakeholders will be able to provide feedback on the lake management plan recommendations for Turner Reservoir and Central Pond in East Providence. Topics include:
- Invasive plants, like water chestnut
- Cyanobacteria (Blue-Green) Algae
- Polluted stormwater
- Nuisance geese
Under DEM's 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, Goal Four: to protect and improve water quality, includes strengthening watershed management through policy, regulation, and partnerships to promote water resource protection, including a focus on freshwater lakes and ponds. DEM is working in partnership with its contractors and local stakeholders to develop five separate, written lake management plans for: Central Pond/Turner Reservoir in East Providence, Georgiaville Pond in Smithfield, Indian Lake in South Kingstown, Tiogue Lake in Coventry, and Upper Dam Pond (Breezy Lake) in Coventry
