RI Hunger Elimination Task Force meeting (Q3)

Hosted by the RI Food Policy Council: As we continue to work together to reduce hunger and increase access to healthy, culturally-appropriate food for all RI residents, this next quarterly meeting is a key opportunity for us to learn and move solutions forward for ending hunger in the state.

Members of HETF represent community-based organizations, Health Equity Zones, non-profits, emergency food providers, food justice and sovereignty advocates, state agency staff, healthcare professionals, students, and many others. All are welcome to attend, registration is required.

Relish Rhody is a State-led, interagency strategy to improve the food system in Rhode Island. In addition to State-level leadership, the food strategy is informed by a robust network of community partners across sub-sectors who are engaged in and energized by this effort. Designed to be an action plan, the strategy takes a holistic view of the state’s food system recognizing the ramifications to public health as well as the economic impact, cultural importance, and environmental necessity of a thriving food system.
