Kick Off RI Grown Week with a Farm to School Apple Harvest at URI's East Farm.

Join the RI Farm & Sea to School Network, DEM's RI Grown Campaign, and URI’s Cooperative Extension for a farm-to-school-style launch of RI Grown Week!

Each fall, the URI Master Gardener Program teams up with local partners to rescue over 12 tons of apples from their research orchards. These apples are donated to community food access points like local food pantries, the URI Free Farmers Market, and the Rhody Outpost.

This year, the RI Farm & Sea to School Network is grateful to join this important tradition and help get fresh, locally grown apples into the hands of Rhode Islanders across the state.

This is a FREE, family-friendly event. All farm to school fans are welcome!

Register by September 30th to reserve your spot!
