Public Hearing re: Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP)

The Rhode Island Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is the Ocean State’s ten-year master plan for outdoor recreation. It's a plan that helps us figure out the best ways to enjoy, protect, and improve outdoor recreation in our state, whether it's parks, trails, beaches, playing fields and courts, playgrounds, farms, or forests.

The Draft SCORP is available for public review and comment. A formal public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 3 PM in Room 300 at Rhode Island DEM Headquarters, 235 Promenade Street, Providence. (directions). Or join the hearing virtually via Zoom.

The hearing will begin with a brief informational presentation, followed by the opportunity for public comments.
