The Power of Prescribed Burns

Prescribed or controlled burns are a key tool for forest management. Join on Thur., Sept. 21 at 6 pm to hear a presentation by Aidan Quinn, a wildland firefighter with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, about the benefits of burns and his recent experiences with Canadian wildfires. After the one-hour program, the public is free to stay for the regular City of Warwick Wildlife and Conservation Commission meeting at 7 pm. Free and open to the public, no registration needed.
