Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) Virtual Office Hour

The RIDEM is holding a virtual office hour to offer live assistance to MSGP permittees and answer questions regarding the electronic submission of Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) or general permit compliance. The DEM will open the office hour with a few program updates and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and the remainder of the meeting will be open to permittee questions. Feel free to join at any time and stay as long as needed, whether you have one quick question or want to listen in for the full session.

Rhode Island Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity was created to provide consistent regulatory coverage for a wide range of industries, while allowing flexibility for sector-specific requirements. The MSGP requires permittees to develop and implement a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), conduct stormwater discharge monitoring and electronic reporting, good housekeeping and other Best Management Practices (BMPs), and Routine Facility Inspections and Quarterly Visual Assessments of stormwater discharges.
