The DEM will open the office hour with a few program updates and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and the remainder of the meeting will be open to permittee questions. Rhode Island Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity was created to provide consistent regulatory coverage for a wide range of industries, while allowing flexibility for sector-specific requirements. The MSGP requires permittees to develop and implement a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), conduct stormwater discharge monitoring and electronic reporting, good housekeeping and other Best Management Practices (BMPs), and Routine Facility Inspections and Quarterly Visual Assessments of stormwater discharges.
