Hunter Education 2 DAY

Saturday August 19th 8am-4pm
Sunday August 20th 8am-1pm
Must attend both days, must register in advance
A course following the curriculum set forth by the International Hunter Education Association as a national standard to produce safe, knowledgeable, and responsible hunters. This course is open to all ages and provides reciprocity in all 50 states.
Notes:
There is a multiple-choice exam administered at the end of the class; written to a 6th grade reading level.
Upon successful completion of the exam, students will be mailed a hunter safety card, within 7-10 business days of the course, which can be used to purchase a hunting license.
Rhode Island residents have the option of taking an online course instead of the in-person for a fee.
Course content focuses on firearms as the choice of hunting tool and covers a myriad of topics not limited to:
- Firearm safety
- Basic Shooting Skills
- Muzzleloaders
- Hunting safety and techniques
- Ethics
- Wilderness survival and first-aid
