Health Equity Zones (HEZs) are collaboratives of residents, community organizations, health professionals, and others to address the root causes of health disparities. The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) established HEZs in 2015 to improve community health, and there are currently 15 HEZs across the state.

Join practitioners from RIDOH, Woonsocket, Newport, and Central Providence Opportunities to learn more about the history of HEZ, current initiatives across the state, and the future of this work.
