EBC 5th Annual Briefing by the New England State Dam Safety Directors

This EBC Annual Dam Management Leadership Program will again bring together the state dam safety directors from each of the New England states to provide updates from each of their respective states.  This year the discussion will explore the recent requirements for risk-based evaluations and how those changes are impacting the assessment process, financial decision-making process, and condition ratings.

This annual meeting also provides an opportunity for the directors to:

  • Discuss the challenges each program faces and how other states may have had or even overcome these challenges
  • Identify ways the states can assist and collaborate with each other
  • Determine ways the EBC can support each state’s dam safety program
  • Discuss training and outreach opportunities and needs

Stacey Pinto, Environmental Engineer III, Office of Compliance & Inspection, Dam Safety, Water Compliance and Freshwater Wetland Compliance, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management will present for Rhode Island.

There will be ample time for open discussion and Q & A with attendees.
