Cultivating Connections: K-12 and College Procurement Gathering
Join us to be part of the movement to bring fresh, local and healthy food to our K-12 schools and college campuses!
The RI Farm to School Network, with the RI Dept. of Environmental Management, RI Dept. of Education, Farm Fresh Rhode Island, and Commerce RI are hosting our annual Farm to School Purchasing Gathering, with a twist!
Join us at Cultivating Connections: a K-12 AND College Procurement Gathering on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. This event aims to connect individuals involved in bringing local food to schools and campuses. That includes farmers, fishers, food producers, distributors, processors, public or private K-12 and College foodservice buyers who are interested in learning more and meeting new partners to buy and sell local foods in schools.
Learn from our state's leaders and each other throughout the day from experienced speakers who have successfully implemented farm-to-school programs, workshop sessions, panel discussions, and networking sessions where you can finally meet those food service professionals and producers that you're always trying to find!
Whether you're a farmer interested in selling your food or providing education to schools, a distributor or processor looking for new connections, or a food service professional seeking to enhance your menus, this gathering offers something for everyone. Be part of the movement to bring fresh, healthy food to our K-12 schools and college campuses.
