RIDEM is working to help develop a written lake management plan for Upper Dam Pond (Breezy Lake) in Coventry.

Join in person or via Zoom to listen to lake scientists and ask questions about:

  • Invasive plants
  • Cyanobacteria (Blue-Green) Algae
  • Polluted stormwater
  • Nuisance geese

Under DEM's 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, Goal Four: to protect and improve water quality, includes strengthening watershed management through policy, regulation, and partnerships to promote water resource protection, including a focus on freshwater lakes and ponds. DEM is working in partnership with its contractors and local stakeholders to develop five separate, written lake management plans for: Central Pond/Turner Reservoir in East Providence, Georgiaville Pond in Smithfield, Indian Lake in South Kingstown, Tiogue Lake in Coventry, and Upper Dam Pond (Breezy Lake) in Coventry
