53rd Annual Blessing of the Fleet at the Port of Galilee

Location: Salty Brine State Beach at the Port of Galilee in Narragansett

Hosted by the Narragansett Lions Club, the Blessing of the Fleet features a colorful parade of decorated commercial and recreational watercraft, large and small. Local clergymen bless each and every vessel as they pass before them, and a panel of celebrity judges rate the boat’s decorations in a variety of categories. Come on to Galilee to watch the Blessing, and cheer on the boats as they parade by. Featuring Music by “Peace Collective” & Bagpiper Debbie Kane

  • Self Walking Tours and educational demonstrations begin at 10:00 A.M.
  • Boat parade starts at noonish (after the Block Island Ferry departs)

Note: The parking lot at Salty Brine State Beach in Narragansett will be temporarily closed during the Narragansett Lions Club’s 52nd annual Blessing of the Fleet celebration. The beach will remain open. The parking lot will reopen after 1 PM.
