TOOLKIT FOR QUAHOG WEEK 2018
Quahog Week highlights the many restaurants, fishers and food-based businesses committed to growing Rhode Island’s local food economy and is a statewide celebration of our favorite Rhode Island clam; the Quahog. We’re looking for your support in the continued effort to grow this critical sector.
HOW IT WORKS
From March 26 to April 1, restaurants across Rhode Island will celebrate this sustainable resources and its year-round availability by featuring a quahog dish on their menu. Simply fill out the restaurant participation entry form below (it’s free), spread the word, and we’ll do the rest. This digital toolkit is designed to give you the tools you need to promote and host a successful Quahog Week.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
All participating restaurants will be prominently featured on SeafoodRI.com and across multiple social media channels affiliated with the RI Seafood Collaborative. Participants may also be included in media coverage of the event. Participants will also receive a high-quality logo to incorporate on their menu and for promotional use.
Participants will be invited to join state leaders, local fishers, fellow restauranteurs and other industry representatives at a Quahog Week kick-off press event. This event will recognize the economic and cultural impact of this fishery and promote local market opportunities.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
Our local food system supports more than 60,000 jobs and is a key driver in attracting tourism to the Ocean State. As quahogs are plentiful in Narragansett Bay year-round, they are perfect ingredients in myriad seasonal recipes including stuffies, hearty chowders, soups, various pasta dishes and more.
Let’s work together to spread awareness of Rhode Island’s bounty and the talented chefs who prepare the quahog in so many savory ways.
