RI lakes and ponds provide a myriad of outdoor recreational opportunities: fishing, boating, water skiing, kayaking, swimming and ice skating. To support recreational fishing opportunities, the DEM Division of Fish & Wildlife manages fish stocking programs and maintains public boat ramps and dock facilities to provide public access to many lakes and ponds.
